Send us your list. That's the honest pitch. Five small jobs done in one visit costs less than five separate trips, and you only have to be home once.
What's on the usual list
- Doors that stick, rub or won't latch, and windows that won't close properly
- Lock repairs and swaps
- Timber repairs and simple carpentry
- Patching holes and painting over them
- TV and picture mounting
- Caulking and sealing around baths, showers, windows and benchtops
The licence question
Electrical, plumbing and gasfitting work needs a licence in NSW, whatever the size of the job, so we don't do it. That includes swapping taps, light fittings and switches. For those, book a licensed electrician or plumber. Residential building work over $5,000 (labour and materials) also needs a contractor licence, and our jobs are small repairs that sit well under that. If you're not sure whether something counts, ask and you'll get a straight answer.
TV mounting
One of the most common requests. We'll fix the bracket to the wall properly, finding studs or using the right anchors for the wall type, and level it. If you want cables hidden, say so in advance, because that changes the job. Tell us the TV size and wall type (plasterboard, brick, or something else) and it makes the quote more accurate.
Rental and sale prep
A common one is the pre-inspection list: scuffed walls, a dripping tap, a missing door stop. We can work through those quickly. Send the agent's list if you have it.
Not sure whether we do it?
Ask. We'll answer honestly, even if the answer is "not us." If you're in the area, the Byron Bay handyman page has local detail, and assembling furniture has its own page: flat-pack assembly.
