Flat-pack is designed so anyone can build it. That's true. It's also true that a wardrobe can eat a whole afternoon and still wobble at the end of it.
What we assemble
Wardrobes, beds, bookcases, desks, tables, TV units, shelving, outdoor furniture and storage. If it arrived in a box with an allen key, we can usually do it. Big pieces with sliding doors are where people lose the most time, and those are good ones to hand over.
Wall-fixing
Tall furniture should be fixed to the wall, especially with children in the house. Wardrobes, bookcases and chests of drawers can tip over if climbed on or pulled. We fix them to the wall with the right anchors for your wall type. If you'd rather not have holes in a rental wall, tell us and we'll talk about what's possible.
Before we come
- Get the boxes inside, and ideally into the room they're going to live in.
- Check that everything's there. If a part is missing or damaged, it's much better to find out before we start.
- Send the product name or a link, and the number of boxes. It's how we work out the time.
Packaging
All the cardboard, plastic and polystyrene goes with us when we leave. It's the part nobody thinks about until they're standing in a room full of it.
Often people book this along with other jobs, such as mounting a TV or hanging shelves. See handyman repairs.
