This isn't about painting a whole house. It's the holes from old TV brackets, the scuffs behind the door, and the patch of wall the kids got to.
Patching
Filling, sanding and priming so the patch disappears. Rushed patching shows up as a bump or a shiny spot once the light hits it, so there's a bit of drying time between steps.
Matching the paint
The hardest part. If you've got leftover paint from the original job, keep it for us. If not, bring a chip or tell us the brand and colour. Old paint fades, so a fresh patch can look different from the wall around it. We might suggest painting the whole wall to the corner instead of one spot.
Small rooms and touch-ups
A single wall, a doorframe, a skirting board, a ceiling stain after the cause has been fixed. Full-house painting is a painter's job and we'll say so.
Often bundled with picture and shelf mounting, caulking and other jobs in handyman repairs. The rental checklist and pre-sale checklist both lean on this one.
