A lock that sticks, a key that needs jiggling, a handle that spins. All easy to put off, and all more annoying the longer they're left.
What we do
Repair or replace door locks, deadbolts, latches and handles. Common causes are worn parts, a door that has dropped slightly so the latch doesn't line up, and fittings loosened over the years. Often the fix is an adjustment, not a new lock.
Replacement
If a lock needs replacing, a like-for-like swap is the simplest. Buy the new lock yourself or ask what suits the door first. Mention if you've just moved in and want the locks changed.
What we don't do
Getting you back into a locked house in an emergency is a locksmith's job. Rekeying or security upgrades that call for a locksmith also fall outside what we do, and we'll point that out up front.
Go with door and window repairs if the door itself is the problem. See also handyman repairs.
