Weeds in a warm, wet climate don't take a holiday. Mulch is the cheapest way to slow them down.
Weeding
Done by hand where it matters, roots and all, so they don't pop up again next week. Some weeds, like creeping grasses or lantana, are stubborn. If one has taken over, send a photo and we'll talk about the best way to handle it.
Mulching
A layer of mulch over cleared beds keeps down weeds, holds moisture in the soil and keeps roots cooler. It breaks down over time, so beds need topping up. Tell us whether you prefer a look that suits natives, tropicals or a formal garden.
Combine it
It's a good add-on to pruning and planting, and the trimmings can go with the green waste. The overall picture is on the garden and hedge care page.
